NAPA VALLEY

Grown on the high-altitude peaks and ridgelines of the Mayacamas Range, the fruit for this small-production wine is grown above the fog line between 1,800 to 2,200 feet in elevation. The result is a powerful expression of Cabernet Sauvignon in pure mountain form, presenting a mineral-rich wine balanced with an array of rich fruits, cool climate acidity, and rugged structure. Dark plums, black raspberries, cassis, crushed obsidian, black currant, tobacco, dried violets, and graphite define the nose, while a full-bodied palate is framed by a dusting of garnet tannins. The lengthy finish mirrors the volcanic soils that adorn this rugged mountain appellation that dots the landscape of Napa Valley’s northwestern corner.
